I want to apologize to all of my faithful friends who have endured months without a post...

So many things have been going on of late and I have had ZERO time to put into this project. Couple that with the fact that the local hooker traffic has been almost non-existant and I really couldn't get the impetus to sit down and hack out an entry.

Residents of the neighborhood will recognize this lovely lady though. Until today, she was pretty much known about the area as "Heroin Chick". Now we know her true identity is Rachel Ann Bradley. I first ran across her about four years ago and she was fairly attractive then. Time and chronic drug use has not been kind to Rachel though. She is circling the drain more rapidly with every passing day.

To make it better for all y'all, here is a little eye-bleach in the form of Heather Jean Byrd... mug shots are never kind, that being said, this young assault-3 convict is quite the hottie. Just don't piss her off apparently...

Jeeze-oh-pete! I thought some of the "ladies" around these parts were scroungy! I was checking out Fark yesterday when I found this news story out of Florida about a recent bust. The "Johns" are just as horrific as the whores (Click the story link for all 65 pics).



This second pic is a "devolution" I Gimped together to show how one of those girls, a rather cute 22 year old, spiraled rather quickly into the train-wreck she is today (yeah, I know, there are a ton of these before/after pics floating around, but I was bored). My first thought was "mmmm...meth", but from her booking info, she has always been caught with cocaine (crack I am assuming, as there are accompanying "paraphernalia" charges).

The drug war is SUCH a rousing success huh? Three words folks: Treatment, treatment, treatment.

On a lighter note... "Dread Pirate Slasher" from Fark created this funny-as-hell animated gif... I'm not exactly sure why I find it so hilarious, but I laugh like hell every time I see it.

Ya know, I have been catching flack from some folks for the use of the word "whore" in the title of this blog. Apparently, some over-sensitive types feel that it is a "bad-word" and are offended. I do like to point out to them that the King James Version of the Bible has 65 instances of the word "whore" right there in it's revered pages.

For the record, here is what the American Heritage Dictionary has to say on the subject:

Okay... now some of you think this blog is taking things too far, or things are really not that bad out here. Well, my neighbor tells me that he got a call from Sanipac this morning telling him that they found used hypodermic needles in his curbside trash. They bereated him a bit, even threatening to call the police! He pretty much told them that until they provide locking trashcans, there wasn't too much he could do about it. Whatever dude... Sanipac can kiss my ass. They know what kind of area this is and flipping my neighbor shit was uncalled for. Anyway, apparently we are now at the point where we need LOCKING GARBAGE CANS!

Fiddling around on the net today has brought about some very interesting info. Some of the stuff I found has resulted in new links over there on the right side of the page, and some I'll just list here. I am hoping that putting some of the resources for women I found may help someone in a situation they desperately want out of.

Some local stories have been done concerning the park and surrounding area.The Register-Guard had a story recently about the park entitled "Neighbors reclaim park from drug users, crime". Granted, it was horrendously worse a couple of years ago, but by no means has it been "reclaimed". At its best it is a cease-fire out here.

This photojournalism piece tells the story quite a bit better that the R-G did. UofO student Kai-Huei Yau put together an excellent commentary on the issues surrounding the park.

Interesting story from the R-G. This HIV+ ex-prostitute dude from NOLA comes to Eugene and turns his life around. Very positive tale. If this dude can straighten his shit out, so can anyone featured on this site.

On May 25, 2000, the Eugene Police Commission published its Findings and Recommendations To Address Street Level Prostitution [pdf]. Some excerpts from the report show that not much has really changed in the six-plus years since.

From the report (all bold emphasis mine):

"Street level prostitution in the area adjoining 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Avenues between Washington St. and Chambers St. has re-emerged as a serious neighborhood and community issue. "Johns" frequently cruise this area repeatedly to solicit prostitutes and frequently solicit sex from uninvolved youth and adults in the area....
...[police] operations must be repeated regularly to prevent the problem from recurring...
... a more comprehensive approach to the problem could be more cost effective...
... nearly all of the 35 women engaging in street level prostitution in West Eugene are adults addicted to heroin or cocaine...
... just over 200 "johns" have been arrested in Eugene over the last three years...
... about 60 percent of the "johns" are from Eugene, 30 percent are from Lane County outside Eugene and the remaining 10 percent are from outside of Lane County.
... whatever ones views of prostitution might be, State law makes it a crime...
... the precursor problems that produce prostitution... include drug addiction, childhood sexual abuse, poor education and job skills, and mental illness. Effective prevention, intervention and treatment is needed to reduce the number of girls and women who are in the trade...
... prostitution produces numerous public health and safety problems. Sexually transmitted diseases are a significant risk from this activity...
... studies have found that nearly all violence against prostitutes happens to street prostitutes. The amount of this violence is significant and provides another reason to focus efforts on street level prostitution...
... prostitution has a serious and negative impact... by reducing the livability of central neighborhoods...
... in other communities, street prostitution has been a significant factor producing urban blight...

So... exactly how far has Eugene come in their address of this issue? If you live in this neighborhood, you know the answer. This problem has gone on long enough. I am absolutely done with the women and girls who are my neighbors being solicited by these cretins. I am equally through with the men of the neighborhood being looked upon as solicitors just for driving through the area. Trust me, this endeavor is in no way in danger of ending. As long as the safety, comfort, and well-being of the residents of this community is an issue, my camera, my keyboard, and my time will be well-spent here.

...washes away the dirt and grime. Apparently so, because there has been a startling lack of nefarious traffic in the area recently. I would like to believe that the awareness and/or attention garnered from this blog is the cause of it, but we'll wait for a few clear days before we claim any headway won.

For those of you who are bitching and moaning that I am "picking" on people or am promoting gentrification, let me clarify myself. Come around the neighborhood any cold and/or rainy evening and you will see these kids sleeping under the awning at the church. They bother no one, they pick up after themselves, they stay quiet. Pretty much they sleep, then get up in the morning and go on about their business. Most of the homeless in the area are, in fact, pretty cool people if you take a moment out of your day to chat them up.

Police seek missing Eugene sex offender

The FBI is looking for a Eugene man indicted on child pornography charges who disappeared in the summer of 2005.

A federal grand jury last week indicted Rikki Lundstrom, 45, on four counts of distributing child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography. Lundstrom, a registered sex offender, was unemployed at the time of his disappearance, but he previously had worked as a cook and had attended Lane Community College.

Lundstrom is white, stands 6 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs 260 pounds. He has brown receding hair and blue eyes. The FBI said he may try to get a job as a cook or chef. It was unclear if he is still in Oregon.

The FBI said anyone who sees Lundstrom should call 911. People with general information about him can call the FBI office in Eugene at 343-5222 or in Portland, 24 hours a day, at (503) 224-4181.

If you inadvertently stop at an intersection that she is staking out, she will jump into your car without so much as a word spoken. Remember the old geezer that I was talking about in my first ever post on this blog? Well, here he is (or at least the ass end of his truck). The wife got this pic after he gave her googly eyes as she was walking over to Sweet Life (she's a bit of a choco-holic that girl). This guy will endlessly circle the area from about 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm prowling for that perfect virus carrier to nibble his shriveled little.... ugh... I can't even think about how creepy/nasty that is....

That's right folks, our original inductee is back and looking better than ever! All those scabs and pus have cleared up and boo-ya! What a hottie huh? Our original work resulted in her being evicted from the apartment she was using as a bordello, but we now have word she is shacking up in some flophouse on 8th and Jefferson. Our first "John"! (sorta...)

Well, with Autumn coming on, it appears that the ladies are becoming more active. Was driving over to 7-11 for some canned crack when I saw a surprisingly attractive little blonde chick getting into a black Honda with Oregon plates "WEB 129". By the time I could get turned around, *poof*, they vanished. But like sodas out of a machine, another slid right into her spot and was promptly picked up by the dude in this white Pontiac Grand Am with Oregon plates "PFC 467". I followed trying to get a pic of the dude's face, but traffic was not cooperating.
Anyway, after their tryst, he dropped her off and went home (1585/1595 W 8th). Here's the house. A Google search turned up this listing for the address. Whatever.... Please feel free to chat him up and let him know how appreciative we are of his patronage.

Yeeee-haww! Got a new camera!!!

I just picked up a new digital camera! It is a HP Photosmart E217. Target had it on sale with a cool little printer dock for about $125. There are a few left if you want to pick one up. So, now you will hopefully see more pics of the lovely ladies that frequent our neighborhood....

Resident Hairball (off topic)

Due to the response from members of the community (see the "comments" section below) I have decided to pull this posting.

I still feel the same about the person in question and his issues with lack of property maintenance, and I feel that the issues brought up in the post contribute directly to the prostitution/public drug and alcohol use in the area, but I will concede that my posting did, in fact, smack of asshole-ism and gentrification.

So, for those who voiced their opinions, thanks. Your input is well received and will be, as always, considered thoughtfully on the way issues are addressed on this blog.

Wonder why there have been no new pics? Some piece of shit stole my digital camera! Totally sucks the, well, you know....

There has been a ton of activity around the 8th & Monroe area. This horrific crack-head was asking for a "ride" right at the spot the kids catch the school bus! WTF? I flipped her a ton of shit but she refused to leave, so I called the cops. I had to go run an errand, and when I got back, she was gone.

It seems this dude driving a "Jerry's" taxicab was either working with her or perhaps wishing to make some sort of business transaction with her. She kept going back and forth across the street to talk to him for about a half an hour. Call (541) 688-8761 and tell the dispatcher you don't appreciate this.

While I was chatting up the whore, a dude from Art of Glass came out and jumped square into my shit. Thought I was a customer. I squared it with him and all is well. While you are on the phone bitching at the cab dude, call the glass place at (541) 485-8650 and tell them you appreciate them keeping an eye out.

Woo hoo! We got our first pic! This fine looking fellow is a local "pimp" who prefers to work his girls in the 8th Avenue area. His name is Wilmer Mosely. This is a neighboorhood that has many kids playing about. It has nice, simple homes. It has a friendly attitude. It has a nice local market. Alas, it also has PROSTITUTES!

It is not so much the prostitutes that piss me off, but their "customers". You really have no idea the wide variety of dudes (and a few women) that lurk about picking these ladies up. One of the regular guys is about 70 years old!

The main reason this cheezes me off so damn bad is that these skels proposition my wife while she is sitting as the school bus stop waiting to pick up the kids! Definate pukes.
